Emergency provisions for the carAn earthquake can occur at any moment and at any location. Besides the extra emergency provisions that are kept in the home, it is recommended a have a supply kit in the car in case an earthquake happens while you’re on the road. The following articles should be included:
A first aid kit and a book of first aid instructions
Essential medications
Cash in small bills and change
Telephone numbers for family and neighbors
A flashlight and extra batteries
Plastic zipper bags and plastic trash bags
Paper towels and toilet paper
Sturdy shoes and gloves
Tools, including a screwdriver, hammer and pliers
Blankets or a sleeping bag
Local maps
Canned food and a manual can opener
A change of clothes
Wet wipes in a sealed package
Bottled water
