Blue and Gold Opportunity PlanThe University of California has a financial aid program especially for students who are eligible for financial aid and whose families earn less than $60,000 a year ($70,000 beginning in 2010-11). Under the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan, University fees will be covered by grants and scholarships. And that’s not all. The Blue and Gold program is only a minimum. Students with financial need may receive more funds to help cover costs like campus fees, books, room and board. In fact, more than half of all UC undergraduate students receive grants and scholarships, with an average award of $11,100. To be eligible for the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan, students must:
